George Clooney was out in Rome this week after Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler visited the star and wife Amal at their Lake Como villa over the weekend. Spies said that Clooney — who’s filming in Rome — was at celeb haunt Antica Pesa, sans Amal but with friends. A spy overheard Clooney saying he was making it an early night since he had to work the next morning. The Antica Pesa team is working with Tao Group on restaurant concepts at the Moxy Chelsea hotel, to open this fall in NYC.

“Russell Crowe hosted a holiday dinner at a New York apartment on Sunday night catered by Antica Pesa’s Francesco Panella. We hear that the dinner was a preview of the menu that will be available at Feroce — the new eatery Panella’s opening with Tao Group in Chelsea next year. Guests at the gathering of 20 included Crowe’s “The Loudest Voice in the Room” co-stars “Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane and a number of other industry friends and actors,” a source said. “There was an impromptu jam session when a guest played guitar and they all sang Christmas carols.”
